Apply for a Bore Permit
In accordance with City of Rogers ORD.#19-51, Rogers Water Utilities is directed to issue permits to conduct boring within the City. Permits can be obtained by filling out the application and signing the agreement – both available below. Please note that the required bond may exceed $5,000 if boring around a large diameter pipe.
For your convenience, an application for a bore permit can be completed using our online form. Here are some things you will need in order to complete the application:
- Applicant (person applying or principal of entity) must be 21 years of age or older
- The location of the work to be completed (Provide a map or drawing of the proposed bore with streets labeled)
- Indicate the number of bores and purpose (gas, telecommunications, etc.)
- A surety bond or cashier’s check in an amount sufficient to cover each bore
Complete the application online
A walkthrough of completing an online application has been provided below.
First-time applicants will need to create an account. Log in as prompted if you are already an established customer with an account.
While logged in, select Create New Application. Select Rogers Water Utilities. Select RWU Bore Permit. Now, fill in an appropriate project name. This could include the name of the intersection of the bore location.
The Location tab allows you to select the Bore location on the map.
You can search for your address in the bar below or scroll to the desired location.
Once the address is selected, it will populate the shown location.
Fill in the appropriate applicant information below.
Search for your contractor’s name. If you are not an available contractor on the list, select a new contractor. Fill in the appropriate new contractor information. With this information, we will generate you as a contractor on your next portal visit.
Fill in the below questions that apply to your application.
Upload the appropriate documents. This will include map images of the bore location and bond information.
